Research Methods in Technology

Course description

The course “Research Methods “is designed to teach how to initiate a research in computer science, information technology or any related or allied discipline. It provides a structured knowledge for initiating, conducting, concluding, drafting and publishing the research outcomes in scientific manner. In this course, the students will be able to learn techniques that are used to initiate a research, design the activities and research flow, decide the appropriate tools and techniques and finally conduct research activities, and write the research papers/thesis/dissertations or research reports. In this course it is also taught that how to identify and select the current research topics. It covers the research writing skills through formulation of problems, preparing research papers/research thesis on a specified research topic that can be explored either in group or individuals. This course will enable learners to ensure the overall importance of research in real life and in organizations, especially in techno-economic competitive world. At the time of completion of a research, a formal presentation of the research results is required to be presented for defense/viva and this course supports the learners to make it grand success through winning presentation skills.
